ABOUT US

Social Work Toolkit was established in 2020 during a period when the world had come to a halt and social workers faced additional challenges.

We created a platform, Social Work Toolkit: Connect and Share, for social workers to connect and exchange ideas. Since then, our community has grown significantly, highlighting the need for a hub where social workers and other professionals in social work, social care, mental health services, substance misuse services, education, and health can connect. 

Amidst the current climate, social workers require support and a platform to discuss their ideas and challenges. Our platform provides a positive environment for our members to enhance their practice and achieve better outcomes for the children, families and adults they work together with. We have observed a growing need for support for new social workers starting out in the profession, leading to the creation of Safe Space in November 2023. This bespoke service offers support during the early stages of their career, when nerves are high, and enthusiasm is at its peak. In November 2023, we began designing our new website and reflecting on our identity.
